Bantam Lake is located in Litchfield County in the northwest corner of Connecticut.   Approximately 80% of the lake is located in Morris, CT and the other 20% is located in Litchfield, CT.  Over 60% of the shoreline of Bantam Lake is owned by White Memorial Foundation.  Cottage owners on White Memorial owned land lease the land from White Memorial under a 99 year lease.  Cottages and houses built on privately owned land are primarily located on the East and West shores and Deer Island.
